General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Ferienhaus Hengsttal – Puchberg am Schneeberg
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made at Ferienhaus Hengsttal directly via the website, by email, or by telephone.
2. Contract conclusion
The accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the guest's booking request has been confirmed in writing (by email) by the landlord. By making a booking, the guest accepts these terms and conditions.
3. Payment terms and inclusive services
- Deposit: A deposit of 40% of the total amount is due immediately upon booking to confirm the reservation. Final payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before arrival.
Special terms for last-minute bookings:
For bookings made less than 14 days before the arrival date, an immediate deposit of 40% of the total amount is also due. In this case, the balance must be paid within 2 days of the booking date. - All inclusive: The total price quoted is a final price. It includes:
- The statutory local tax of the municipality of Puchberg am Schneeberg.
- All energy costs (electricity, water, heating).
- Bed linen & towels: We provide freshly made beds and hand and bath towels free of charge for your stay.
- Final cleaning of the vacation home.
- An initial supply of consumables (toilet paper, kitchen roll, garbage bags, cleaning cloths, dishwasher tablets, coffee beans).
If the above terms of payment are not met by the guest making the booking or if deadlines are exceeded, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and make the property available for rental again for this period.
4. Cancellation policy
Should the guest need to cancel their stay, the following conditions apply:
- Free cancellation: Guests will receive a full refund of the deposit up to 14 days before arrival.
- Partial refund: For cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before arrival, 40% of the total price for all nights’ accommodation is payable.
- No refund: For cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, the full total price (100%) is payable.
- Cancellations must always be made in writing.
5. Arrival and departure
- Check-in: The holiday home is available from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival (contactless check-in via key box).
- Check-out: On the day of departure, the house must be left in a clean and tidy condition by 11.00 am at the latest.
- Individual arrangements regarding check-in and check-out times are generally possible, but must be requested in writing in advance and are only valid upon confirmation by the landlord.
6. Duty of care and liability
- The guest undertakes to treat the property and its contents with care.
- Any damage caused must be reported to the landlord immediately. The guest is fully liable for any damage caused by themselves or their fellow travellers.
- Use of the garden, including all play equipment and facilities, as well as the property, is at the guest’s own risk.
7. House Rules
- Non-smoking property: Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire interior of the log cabin. Smoking is permitted only on the terrace. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the ashtrays provided.
Pets: Pets are not permitted at the Hengsttal holiday home.
Quiet hours: Out of consideration for the idyllic location in the Hengsttal valley and the neighbourhood, we ask that you keep noise to a minimum, particularly between 10.00 pm and 7.00 am. Thank you for your understanding!
8. Termination by the landlord
n the event of unforeseeable circumstances (e.g. force majeure, damage to the property) that make letting impossible, the landlord is entitled to withdraw from the contract. Any sums already paid will be refunded immediately in such cases. Any further liability is excluded.
9. Jurisdiction
Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Neunkirchen / Wiener Neustadt.
