Who we are and why we love Puchberg

​We are a family of four from Vienna. We have always been drawn to Puchberg. The combination of quick accessibility from the city and the immediate feeling of freedom in nature fascinated us from the very beginning. For us, the Hengsttal valley is the perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of the big city—a place to take a deep breath.

​Our way to the house in the countryside

In 2021, we fulfilled our dream of owning our own house in Hengsttal. From the very first second, we enjoyed the special atmosphere in this solid wood house. We quickly realized that we wanted to enable other people to experience this feeling of security and tranquility.

Since we have put down roots here ourselves, we have rediscovered the Schneebergland region. We are constantly amazed by the variety that Puchberg offers, especially for families—from wonderful family hikes and great nature destinations to the impressive ride on the Schneebergbahn railway, including the panorama at over 2000 meters above sea level. Facilities such as the outdoor pool in summer and the ski lift in winter perfectly round off the diverse range of activities for young and old.

​Hosts with passion

In 2022, we took the plunge and opened our house to guests for the first time. Since then, we have welcomed many wonderful people for around 100 stays. The consistently positive feedback and great reviews (see homepage) encourage us to continue opening our house.

We are just as excited as we were on the first day every time we get to spend time together in the Hengsttal valley. And we would like to share this joy with you. We invite you to make our house your own retreat and discover the beauty of the Schneebergland region.
